ChatGPT agent is gone: Sochen vs ChatGPT Work

OpenAI has retired ChatGPT agent: its help page now points people to ChatGPT Work, which comes with paid ChatGPT plans (not Free or Go). Sochen does multi-step jobs too, and it’s $5 to try for 7 days. It uses its own computer, asks before anything is paid, booked or sent, and can ring you on an Indian or US number and call US businesses for you.

7 days of Plus for $5, then a monthly plan if you want one. Nothing renews on its own.

What Sochen does

  • Its own computer

A cloud desktop with Chrome, live in the chat. You can take over at any time, and it hands you the keyboard for passwords and codes.
  • Asks before acting

Approval cards show exactly what will be paid, booked or sent, with a before-and-after preview in connected apps.
  • On its own clock

Schedules like a morning brief or a daily price check, with results by email or a phone call.
  • Phone calls

You can call it and it can ring you, on Indian and US numbers. It calls US businesses for you, saying up front that it's an AI assistant.
  • Videos and heads-ups

It watches YouTube links and uploads, with timestamps, and speaks up when something in your own things needs you soon.

Where ChatGPT Work is ahead

  • It's part of ChatGPT

On a paid ChatGPT plan other than Go, Work comes with your plan, inside the app you already use.
  • Built for finished work

OpenAI describes ChatGPT Work as made for longer, multi-step tasks that end in finished deliverables.

Questions

What happened to ChatGPT agent?+
OpenAI's help page now says: “ChatGPT agent is no longer available. Use ChatGPT Work for longer, multi-step tasks and finished deliverables.” ChatGPT Work comes with paid ChatGPT plans, except Free and Go.
Why would I use Sochen instead?+
If you want to start free, pay in rupees, have it ring you on an Indian or US number or call a US business for you, watch videos, or get heads-ups before things go wrong. If you're on a paid ChatGPT plan other than Go and work in it every day, ChatGPT Work comes with your plan.
Is there a monthly task limit?+
No fixed task count. Sochen runs on credits: a quick reply is about 1 credit, a multi-step job about 5, and big jobs show their cost before they start.
Can it use my accounts safely?+
It hands you the keyboard for passwords and codes and never types them itself. Keeping sign-ins between jobs is off unless you turn it on, and they're stored encrypted.
Which AI model does Sochen use?+
You choose: Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek and others, or bring your own model.
