What photo size do Indian exam forms ask for?+
Most want a colour JPEG between 10 and 200 KB with the face filling most of the frame. The exact band differs: IBPS PO and Clerk 2026 20–50 KB, 200×230 px, 200 DPI; SBI PO and Clerk 2026 20–50 KB, 200×230 px, 200 DPI; UPSC CSE 2026 20–200 KB; NEET UG 2026 10–200 KB; JEE Main 2026 10–200 KB; CUET UG 2026 10–200 KB; PAN card (Form 93) up to 20 KB, 2.5×3.5 cm, 200 DPI; UPPSC OTR up to 50 KB, 5×6 cm, 200 DPI. SSC CGL and MTS, SSC CHSL 2026, RRB NTPC and Group D take the photo live in the form instead.
How do I reduce a photo to 20–50 KB?+
Pick the form and upload at the top. The tool resizes the picture to the notice's pixels, then lowers the JPEG quality a step at a time until the file sits inside the band, and shows a tick for each part of the spec it measured on the finished file.
How do I make a signature file of 10–20 KB?+
Sign in black ink on white paper and photograph it flat in daylight. Choose the signature preset: the tool trims the picture to the ink, whitens the paper, sets the pixels or centimetres the notice names, and brings the JPEG inside the band.
Which forms want a white background?+
IBPS PO and Clerk 2026, SBI PO and Clerk 2026, UPSC CSE 2026, NEET UG 2026, JEE Main 2026, CUET UG 2026 ask for a plain white or light background. Their presets offer to replace the background with plain white; it works best on a photo of one person facing the camera.
What does 200 DPI mean for an upload?+
DPI is a number written inside the JPEG that says how many dots make an inch when printed; it doesn't change the pixels. Where a notice gives a size in centimetres and a DPI, the tool works out the pixels from them and writes that DPI into the file.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?+
No. The file is resized in your browser and stays on your device; nothing is sent to Sochen or anyone else.
