When to apply
The JEE (Main) 2027 bulletin was not out as of 28 September 2026; the 2026 rules are shown until NTA publishes it.
How to make the JEE Main 2026 files
- Pick the upload at the top of the tool: photo, signature. The size, pixels and DPI from the notice are filled in for you.
- Drop in your image. For a photo, a recent one taken facing the camera against a plain wall in even light. For a signature, sign in black ink on white paper and photograph it flat; the tool trims to the ink and whitens the paper.
- Make it, check the ticks, download. Each tick is one part of the spec (KB band, pixels, DPI) measured on the finished file. The file is named for the form and the upload, so you can tell them apart when you upload.
Worth knowing for JEE Main 2026
- NTA's photo rule is the same across JEE, NEET and CUET: white background, face and ears about 80% of the frame, and a live photo taken during the form to match.
- Keep the file you upload: the same photo is used on the admit card and checked at the centre.

What if my file is still over the limit?+
The tool keeps the pixels the form asks for and lowers the JPEG quality a step at a time until the file fits the band, then checks it; it tells you if quality had to drop below half. A plain, evenly lit background and a tight crop around the face shrink a photo the most.
