How to make the SSC CHSL 2026 files
- Pick the upload at the top of the tool: photo, signature. The size, pixels and DPI from the notice are filled in for you.
- Drop in your image. For a photo, a recent one taken facing the camera against a plain wall in even light. For a signature, sign in black ink on white paper and photograph it flat; the tool trims to the ink and whitens the paper.
- Make it, check the ticks, download. Each tick is one part of the spec (KB band, pixels, DPI) measured on the finished file. The file is named for the form and the upload, so you can tell them apart when you upload.
Worth knowing for SSC CHSL 2026
- You need a fresh One-Time Registration on the new ssc.gov.in; an OTR from the old ssc.nic.in doesn't work there.
- Your appearance at the exam must match the captured photo, so don't take it in a cap or spectacles you won't wear on the day.
- Corrections are only in the 14 to 16 October window, and the Commission charges for each (₹200 for the first).
Questions
Do I upload a photo for SSC CHSL 2026?+
No. Not uploaded: the application module opens your camera and captures it. Good light, plain background, camera at eye level, look straight ahead, face fully inside the frame. No cap, mask or glasses. Never hold up a printed photo to the camera: those applications are rejected.
What size should the SSC CHSL 2026 signature be?+
10–20 KB, 6×2 cm, 150 DPI (preset; the notice gives none). JPEG or JPG, 10 to 20 KB, about 6.0 cm wide by 2.0 cm high. Blurred or miniature signatures are rejected. The notice gives no DPI or pixels; at 150 DPI, 6×2 cm is about 354×118 px.
What if my file is still over the limit?+
The tool keeps the pixels the form asks for and lowers the JPEG quality a step at a time until the file fits the band, then checks it; it tells you if quality had to drop below half. A plain, evenly lit background and a tight crop around the face shrink a photo the most.
Where do these numbers come from?+
From SSC CHSL 2026 notice (07-09-2026), p. 1, pp. 11–13, read 28 September 2026. Notices change between years, so check the latest one before you submit.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?+
No. The file is resized in your browser and stays on your device; nothing is sent to Sochen or anyone else.
