Free tool
Resize an image to under 100 KB.
To get a photo or signature under 100 KB, keep the pixels the form asks for and let the JPEG quality come down: this tool does exactly that, then checks the finished file. 100 KB is the limit on the IBPS PO and Clerk 2026 handwritten declaration, the SBI PO and Clerk 2026 handwritten declaration, the UPSC CSE 2026 signature (three times), the NEET UG 2026 signature, and the JEE Main 2026 signature. Nothing is uploaded.

- IBPS PO/MT and Clerk (2026), handwritten declaration: 50–100 KB, 800×400 px, 200 DPI. In English, in your own handwriting, in black ink, with the exact wording from the notice.
- SBI PO and Clerk (2026), handwritten declaration: 50–100 KB, 800×400 px, 200 DPI. In English, in your own handwriting, in black ink, with the exact wording from the notice.
- UPSC Civil Services 2026, signature (three times): 20–100 KB, 500 px wide. Sign three times, one below the other, in black ink on white paper, and photograph that. The notice gives 350–500 pixels without saying which side. Name the file “signature”.
- NEET UG 2026, signature: 10–100 KB.
- JEE Main 2026, signature: 10–100 KB.
The limits are quoted from each body's own notification, read 23 September 2026; each form's page links to it. Open the form's page to have its pixels, DPI and KB band filled in together.
What fits in 100 KB
- IBPS PO and Clerk 2026 pairs this limit with 800×400 px for the handwritten declaration; SBI PO and Clerk 2026 pairs this limit with 800×400 px for the handwritten declaration, so that many pixels fit in 100 KB at good quality.
- A JPEG's size depends on how many pixels it has and how much detail is in them. Fewer pixels, a plain background and even light all make a smaller file; a busy background and shadows are detail the file has to spend bytes on.
- With a width and height entered, the pixels are kept and only the quality drops, down to the point where the tool warns you. With them blank, the picture is shrunk until it fits at a quality that still looks good.
- Signatures and documents compress best after “trim to the ink and whiten the paper”: white paper is almost free in a JPEG.
Questions
Is 100 KB 1,00,000 bytes or 1,02,400 bytes?+
Portals don't say, so the tool meets a maximum as 1,00,000 bytes with a little room to spare, which passes either reading, and meets a minimum as 1,024-byte KB.
Does it make the picture smaller in pixels?+
Only if you leave the width and height blank: then it shrinks the picture until the file fits at a quality that still looks good. With a width and height entered, the pixels are kept exactly and only the JPEG quality comes down.
Why was my file made bigger?+
Some forms set a minimum as well as a maximum. If the picture comes out under the minimum at full quality, the tool pads the file up to it without changing the picture, and says so.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?+
No. The file is resized in your browser and stays on your device; nothing is sent to Sochen or anyone else.
